A Dieppe lawyer still plans to seek the leadership of the New Brunswick NDP despite the fact that she was deemed ineligible to run in the Saint John East byelection next month.
Joyce Richardson was not able to run since she needed to be a party member for at least 14 days prior to a nomination meeting and just joined the NDP last week.
Richardson says even though she can’t run in Saint John East, she’s pleased that Dominic Cardy is running and believes he stands a good chance.
Richardson adds she plans to give any support she can to the party up to the byelection on November 17th.
