From Calgary to Halifax, 10 communities will see door to door mail delivery phased out in favour of community mailboxes.
Anick Losier of Canada Post says it won’t be happening in New Brunswick until late 2015 when it starts in Bathurst.
She says one thing they have learned in work this year is that more time is needed for to consult with affected results and municipalities which is why they are annoucing almost a year in advance.
Losier says no one is losing their jobs with these changes because of job security and the attrition rate is twice as high as the number of jobs that will be eliminated throughout the process.
