Laubach Literacy of New Brunswick is holding a giant book sale in Moncton this weekend called “Bookstravaganza” with proceeds supporting literacy programs.
Executive Director Deanna Allen-Champagne says the sale will not only benefit the organization but also raise its profile in the community.
She says it will help them be more known in the community and increase support for their programs.
More than 50 percent of New Brunswickers aged 16 and over have below average literacy skills to cope on a daily basis according to Allen-Champagne.
The Bookstravaganza book sale is being held at Moncton’s Edith Cavell School today until 8pm and tomorrow from 9 to 3.
