Pharmacists Recommend Flu Shots

It’s the time of year that many of us don’t look forward to – flu season.

The aches and pain, fever, cough, and just feeling rotten overall.

Pharmacist Tammy Davis-Gallant recommends a flu shot and stresses that despite what some people say, the shot cannot give you the virus.

Some people are more susceptible to the flu than others including seniors, adults and children with chronic health conditions, pregnant women, aboriginal people, and those who look after sick adults or children.

To those in the high risk groups, the shot is free while others will pay a small fee.

Flu shots are available now at several locations including pharmacies, doctor’s offices and VON offices.
