It’s a sight you won’t often see in downtown Moncton. A large group of men, walking down Main Street, wearing high heels.
It’s all in support of this year’s “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event.
Executive Director for the YWCA Beth Lyons says, “Walk a Mile In Her Shoes” in Moncton is part of YWCA’s Week Without Violence initiative. Basically, we ask our communities, can you imagine what a whole week without violence would look like? If you can imagine that, let’s imagine a whole world, a whole lifetime without violence.”
Check in for the event is at 11am inside the Crowne Plaza, where pledge sheets will be collected.
The walk will begin at noon.
