Acadian Lawyer Announces Intentions To Run For NB NDP Leadership

A Dieppe Lawyer has plans to run for the leadership of the New Brunswick NDP.

Joyce A. Richardson announced her intentions yesterday in a news release.

She hopes to run in the Saint John East byelection.

This seat was left vacant this week, after newly elected Liberal MLA Gary Keating announced he was stepping down.

A byelection date must be set by Premier Brian Gallant within the next six months.

The former NDP leader Dominic Cardy resigned after failing to win a seat in the September 22nd election.
