The seasonal flu campaign being launched by the provincial health department. All healthy New Brunswickers between the ages of 19 and 64 being urged to get vaccinated.
The exceptions would be people who have suffered adverse reactions to the vaccine in the past or whose medical histories indicate they might.
Acting Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Jennifer Russell warns the flu can be fatal.
During the 2013-14 flu season, there were more than 14 hundred confirmed cases of flu in the province. 269 people were hospitalized, 53 spending time in intensive care and 15 New Brunswickers died.
Adults and children with chronic health conditions along with seniors can get vaccinated free of charge
