The 50 million dollars worth of cuts implemented by Canadian Blood Services over the past six years are responsible for shortages blood which dropped to a six year low last week. That claim being made by Mike Davidson of the Canadian Union of Public Employees who tells CHSJ News attempting to collect blood on the cheap hasn’t been working.
Davidson adds clinic hours have been reduced and the times when donors can give blood have been made less convenient for them.
