After all of the technical troubles on election night, Elections New Brunswick is now confirming the final results from returning officers in the province’s 49 ridings.
Chief electoral officer Michael Quinn says those results uphold and validate the outcome of the unofficial results that were reported on election night.
Quinn says despite the problems with uploading results that night which caused a delay, the counting of all votes cast was done accurately and did not change the outcome of the election.
Should any candidate desire a recount, they have until Sept. 30 to file a request with a judge of The Court of Queen’s Bench.
