Saint John Harbour proved to be close again with Liberal Dr. Ed Doherty winning over the Conservative incumbant Carl Killen by 71 votes…..In other results from the region…….Conservative Bruce Northrup won in Sussex-Fundy-St Martins…..Gary Crossman won for the Conservatives in Hampton with former Conservative Bev Harrison, who was running for the NDP, finishing second…..Conservative Bill Oliver won the riding of Kings Centre…..The principal of Simonds High, Gary Keating won Saint John East for the Liberals by just an 8 vote margin over Conservative Glenn Savoie which turned out to be the closest race of the night anywhere in the province…….Liberal Rick Doucet easily won Fundy-The Isles-Saint John West over Dr. Jim Parrot and in another close race, Liberal John Ames won in Charlotte-Campobello over Conservative incumbant Curtis Malloch.
