A run that raises money to help women and children who are victims of domestic violence was also held over the weekend.
Four hundred runners took part in the 3rd annual Crossroads 250 Run, Walk, Relay, held in Dieppe, and $73, 000 was raised for Crossroads for Women.
The money will be added to the Crossroads fundraising initiative that hopes to raise $250, 000 for a new Crossroads for Women transition house.
So far, $172, 000 has been raised.
