Man Given Conditional Sentence For Threatening To Kill Police

A 24-year-old Moncton man, who is a long-time acquaintance of Justin Bourque, has been given a nine-month conditional sentence for uttering threats about police.

Jasper John Stam will spend the first three months under house arrest.

The conditions are similar to what he’s been ordered to follow since June 18 when he was released from custody.

On that date, he pleaded guilty to making threats against police at a farmers market back in May.

Stam has been ordered to have no contact with admitted RCMP murderer Justin Bourque.
