Wintry blast in Alberta won’t hit NB anytime soon

The pictures don’t lie… Alberta had snow yesterday!

Environment Canada meteorologist Claude Cote says several centimetres of snow fell in the higher elevations.

But Cote says not to worry, we won’t see out first flakes in New Brunswick for a while yet.

Temperatures are expected to be above normal for the next couple of days.

Cote adds that sea surface temperatures around the Maritimes are running about three degrees above normal for this time of year.

He notes that should keep our region relatively warm for at least the first part of fall.
