NB doctor heading to Africa to help fight Ebola

FREDERICTON, N.B. – The Chief Medical Officer of Health in New Brunswick is travelling to Africa next week to help fight Ebola.

Dr. Eilish Cleary didn’t hesitate when she was presented with the opportunity to offer her medical expertise.

She feels it is very important that we pitch in and help out.

Dr. Cleary will be leaving for Africa on September 15th and is expected to be there for between 8 and 10 weeks.

Almost 2,000 people have died of Ebola in West Africa and there is heightened concern that number could continue to rise.
