Daniel Bourgeois has confirmed that he’s staying on as a Councillor for Ward 3 in Moncton.
Bourgeois initially stated in December 2012 that he was stepping down to pursue other opportunities.
A few months later, he said he would be staying on temporarily to wrap up municipal work.
Bourgeois is now confirming he will remain on council until the next election in May 2016.
In the spring, the provincial Liberal association barred Bourgeois from running in Moncton Southwest citing allegations of intimidation and threatening language.
