Next court appearance for Victoria Park golfer set for November

MONCTON, NB–The man known as the Victoria Park golfer made a court appearance yesterday, but the case was adjourned without a trial date set.

According to media reports, the lawyer for 30-year-old Michael Edward Delahunt told the judge discussions are still underway with the Crown Prosecutor in the case.

Delahunt is charged with assault, uttering threats and breaching a court undertaking in connection with alleged incidents in May of this year.

He is also facing additional charges after an arrest last summer, that allegedly started over Delahunt’s habit of golfing in the park.

Delahunt has been ordered to stay away from the complainant and also out of city parks.

He will return to court on November 5th.
