The Department of Transportation confirms a permanent fix is coming to the main road through Albert County that was washed out by snow melt in mid-April.
A temporary bridge has kept Route 114 open since a culvert underneath was wiped out during the spring thaw.
But, the bridge is only one lane and with vehicles using it from alternate directions. Their passage needed to be controlled by traffic lights.
The department says a tender to replace the culvert will be issued soon with the project scheduled for completion by the end of October.
The highway is a major link between Riverview and key tourist destinations like The Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park.
