NB Liquor consider improvements to new beer policies

The president of NB Liquor is expected to meet with small brewers across the province today to discuss concerns over beer policies.

Brian Harriman says they’ll look at how they can improve the policies and make them more user friendly.

A new policy in New Brunswick requires smaller breweries to sell 10 thousand litres of beer through NB Liquor outlets before it can obtain a brewery agency store license, but independent brewers say this policy is too restrictive.

They would like to see the government rethink the policy in an effort to be more open to more microbreweries.
