It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Arlene Lynn Toner, age 81, of Moncton, New Brunswick, on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Arlene was a kind and caring woman who dedicated her life to helping others. As a Registered Nurse, she touched many lives with her compassion, warmth, and gentle nature.

Above all, Arlene cherished her family. She shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Brian Toner. She was a devoted mother to Karen Toner, Kristi Gillis (Jim), and Greg Toner, and a loving grandmother to Caitlyn Toner, Emma Gillis, Maddy Gillis, Finlay Toner, and Maxwell Toner. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Skye, Jaxon, and Madelyn.

Arlene loved animals, especially her devoted companion, Ollie. She found joy in nature, walks, the beach, cooking, crafts, reading, and a friendly game of tennis or golf.

Arlene will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the love she gave so freely. Her warmth and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Arlene’s cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium 1657 Mountain Rd Moncton, NB (506-858-1995).

In Arlene’s memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
