With heavy hearts we share that John Peter Ritcey, 74, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2026 at The Moncton Hospital.

Peter was overwhelmed with love and gratitude for the many friends who visited in his final days, and his family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all.

Peter will be remembered with love by his wife Beverley LeBlanc; his children Allison Ritcey and Drew Ritcey (Ashley Ritcey); his three grandchildren Declan, Landon, and Hunter; his sister Pam Hosford; his nieces Kelley and Jill; and many friends. Peter was predeceased by his parents John F. Ritcey and Dorothy Ritcey (Dernier).

In keeping with Peter’s wishes, no funeral or public service will be held. Those wishing to honor his memory may make a donation to the PSP Society of Canada, share a memory with the family, or simply keep the family in their thoughts.

Peter’s arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB (506-858-1995).
