Bouctouche First Nation, NB– It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lisa, on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton.
Born in Skoweghan, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Sanipass and Geneva (McClintick) Sanipass.
She was the welfare officer at the Bouctouche First Nation Community for 32 years.
She will be forever remembered for her kindness and beautiful soul.
Lisa will be dearly missed by her chosen brother, Bryan Simon (Mariah); her chosen sister, Ann Mary Steele (Davey); her best friends: Marsha Leblanc, Cheyanne Grant, Donna Simon along with many cousins.
Resting at Bouctouche First Nation Community Center, 9 Reserve Road, with Visitation beginning on Thursday, August 13th starting at 9 am until time of service at 1 pm.
Burial will take place following the service at the parish cemetery.
Donations can be made in Lisa’s memory to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43, Kent South or to Kent Community Animal Rescue (KCAR).
