Rainfall warning issued in Saint John, Moncton

Heavy rain is in the forecast along the Fundy Coast for Wednesday.

Environment Canada has issued a yellow rainfall warning for Saint John and County, Moncton and Southeast New Brunswick and Fundy Park.

According to the warning, those areas should expect 40 to 60 millimetres of rain starting early Wednesday morning.

Thundershowers are also on the radar, which could result in more rain.

Rainfall rates of 20 to 40 millimetres an hour could occur in some areas.

The rain is expected to taper off to drizzle or showers in the afternoon.
