Elizabeth Bland, 98, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Peoples Park Tower passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 17, 2026.
Born in Newcastle N.B. she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Matchette.
She retired from Dominion Grocery Store, attended St Augustine’s Catholic Church, enjoyed spending time with her family, was an avid dart player, enjoyed dancing and singing and socializing at the Moncton Airforce Vets Club.
She is survived by her children, Tracy Bland, Trudy Votour (Kevin), Sherry Macdonald (Bland) grandchildren, Bobby Votour (Cejay), Samantha Bland and Alex Bland. A sister Ruth Heath (late Jim) and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Bland (2000); Sisters, Lena Wanda, Greta, Yvonne and Dolly and a brother William (Bill).
Per Elizabeth’s wishes, cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest with her husband Bob.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995).
Memorial donations may be made to K.E. Spencer Memorial Home or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
