There are many charitable and non-profit organizations in Moncton and the surrounding area. You’ve probably heard some of their names, but may not know exactly what they do. Each week, we’ll highlight a different organization, sharing who they are and the work they do. We’ll also let you know about any upcoming events where you can learn more or get involved.
This week’s Non-profit Organization of the Week is What Kids Need Moncton Inc.

Mission
What Kids Need Moncton is dedicated to ensuring that every child in our community has access to the essential resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. We believe that all children deserve a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Through our programs and partnerships, we work to bridge gaps in resources, provide educational support, and create pathways to success for children and families facing challenges in the Greater Moncton area.
Programs
What Kids Need Moncton Inc. is involved with many programs to help children in the community.

Snowflake Station – We bring joy to children during the holiday season through gift programs, special events, and family support services. Every child deserves to experience the magic of the holidays, and we work to make that possible. This program provided gifts for over 1900 children in 2025 alone.

Baby Basket – This project provides social workers at local hospitals with essentials for both Baby and Mom. We ensure that new families have the support they need during those crucial early days, providing diapers, clothing, blankets, and other necessities to help them get started.
Program for Essentials – The SUE Shop is ready to welcome families this week at 200 Karolie Rd. Our Shop is open to EVERYONE and all items are FREE. If your family is in need of essentials, please come see us. The SUE shop is named after president Amanda Pooley’s aunt who passed away a little over a year ago. The letters stand for Support, Understanding and Essentials.
