Charitable Organization of the Week: Sunny Support Foundation (SSF)

There are many charitable and non-profit organizations in Moncton and the surrounding area. You’ve probably heard some of their names,  but may not know exactly what they do. Each week, we’ll highlight a different organization, sharing who they are and the work they do. We’ll also let you know about any upcoming events where you can learn more or get involved.

This week’s Charitable Organization of the Week is Sunny Support Foundation (SSF).

Sunny Support Foundation is a registered charity that is dedicated to supporting low-income newcomers to Canada, pregnant mothers, new mothers, and immigrant families facing material hardships. Our mission is to help individuals and families access essential items and support during some of the most challenging transitions in their lives.

Eligible newcomers to Canada (those who have arrived within the past year), expecting mothers, and new mothers can apply for support directly through our website by completing our Support Request Form

Testimonials

Prisca Nina shared the following:

“I learned about Sunny Support Foundation through a friend. As a new immigrant and currently a single mother without employment, I truly recognize that any help and support are more than welcome.

I reached out to the foundation, and they responded promptly by offering me both emotional and material support. They visited me and brought toys, diapers, and wipes for my child, as well as clothes and food supplies for me.

This meant so much to me, and I am extremely grateful for their generosity and kindness.

I hope that in the future, I will be able to do the same for another newcomer, especially a mother in need.

Thank you very much, Sunny Support Foundation.”

Another family shared the following anonymously:

“My wife and I are deeply grateful for the support we received from Sunny Support Foundation. As new parents and newcomers, we hesitated at first, unsure if this was real. But the moment we reached out, we received kindness, understanding, and genuine care.

They came to our apartment on a very cold day, bringing baby items and much-needed support without expecting anything in return. What touched us most was not only the support itself, but the humanity, respect, and compassion behind it.

Sunny Support Foundation made us feel that we were not alone during an important chapter of our lives.

All we can truly say is thank you. Your support becomes part of a family’s story and a foundation for a new beginning.”
