1936 ~ 2026
Our handsome, kind, and gentle quipster has died. We miss him already. Born in Saint John, NB. Son of Raymond and Lina (Boudreau) LeBlanc. Brother to Beatrice, Doris, Lucina, Yvonne and George. He was the last remaining member of his family of origin.
He is the beloved husband of over 60 years of Jacqueline (Bradley) LeBlanc, the adored father of Mary (Feargus) and Anne (Carlo), and the best Pépère ever to Mimi and Lily. He also has many nieces and nephews; each of whom was truly “his favourite.”
Bob worked 39 years for DND at “number 5” in Moncton. In his youth he played hockey and baseball and did some coaching as a young man. He was proud to tell you he was a loyal Red Wings fan since 1949. His hero was Gordie Howe who he met on a number of occasions. Dad’s other hero was Bing Crosby. He taught his girls Bing songs: Mexicali Rose, Swinging on a Star and so many others. He had a voice as lovely as Bing’s and shared this gift by singing in choirs at church, with a barber shop group, and the Metrotones of which he was a member well into his eighties.
He and Jackie had over thirty years of retirement together. They enjoyed lawn bowling, many seniors groups activities and trips and bus tours with with dear friends.
Bob was quick with a corny joke and the offer of a peppermint. We called him our family ambassador. We cannot imagine our world without him. We will miss him every day. We will hold him close through memories and stories of the beautiful life he gave us.
