One Year Later, Click & Chew Is Still One of Dieppe’s Sweetest Ideas

You know a business is doing something right when it survives its first year and still has people lining up for dessert. That’s exactly what’s happening at Click & Chew, located at 988 Champlain Street in Dieppe, as they celebrate their first anniversary.

Today I brought along my friend Katie Doiron, a talented local artist. Somehow, despite living in the area, she had never been. That changed pretty quickly.

Let’s start with the Click.

The name isn’t just catchy. Click & Chew actually has a DIY photo studio built right into the business. You can book a session, get access to the space, and take as many photos as you want during your time slot. Family photos? Check. New headshots? Check. Photos with friends where nobody gets stuck behind the camera? Also check. It’s a pretty unique concept that fills a need without the intimidating price tag of a traditional studio session.

Now let’s talk about the Chew part because that’s where my willpower completely disappeared.

First, the cinnamon rolls.

These aren’t your average mall-food-court cinnamon rolls. They’re soft, gooey, loaded with frosting, and the kind of dessert that makes you immediately start planning your next visit before you’ve finished the first bite. They come in flavours like Classic, Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, and Ube, which might be the prettiest cinnamon roll I’ve ever seen.

Then there are the famous Loukos.

The easiest way to explain them is to say they’re not Timbits. I know that’s exactly what you’re thinking. Trust me. These fluffy Greek-style dough bites are on a completely different level. Available in flavours like Honey Cinnamon, Chocolate, Hazelnut, Cookies & Cream, Salted Caramel, and even Dubai Chocolate, they’re dangerously snackable. You order a box intending to share, then suddenly you’re guarding it like a seagull protecting a french fry.

Their drink menu is worth exploring too. From Brown Sugar-style favourites and Spanish Lattes to Ube Lattés, Matcha drinks, and specialty coffees, there’s something for every caffeine lover.

What I love most about places like Click & Chew is that they’re doing something different. They took two ideas—photos and desserts—and somehow made them work together.

As they celebrate their first year in business, it’s another reminder that some of the most creative experiences in our community come from local entrepreneurs willing to take a chance. So next time you’re looking for a sweet treat, some fun photos, or both, skip the chains and support local. Businesses like Click & Chew are what make our communities unique.
