Martin Couture, 80 of Moncton, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in Bathurst, Martin drove Taxi for many years, along with his wife they enjoyed Shuffle Board. He was a former member of the Legion, Bathurst NB and was an avid Montreal Canadiens Fan.

Martin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Caroline (Daley) Couture, children Kevin Couture (Anita), Alban Couture (Stacey) and Rachelle Callendar (James); grandchildren André (Jennie), Christina (Matt), Tiffany (Kevin), Austin (Torrie) and Cody (Kelsey); great grandchildren Joey, Alice, Easton, Isla and Danni. He was predeceased by his great grandson Sean (2019).

In honoring Martin’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton, NB (506-858-1995).

Memorial donations in Martin’s memory may be made to The Canadian Mental Health or to The Canadian Cancer Society.
