Moncton, NB – Robert Babineau, 89, passed away on Friday, May 22nd, 2026, at Faubourg du Mascaret, Pavillon Landry in Moncton.
Born in Notre-Dame, he was the son of the late Judes Babineau and the late Regina (Lirette) Babineau.
He will be sadly missed by his two sons: Donald (Carol) of Moncton, and Paul (Dawn) of Dryden, ON.; his daughter, Roberte Richard (Ray) of Moncton; his four grandchildren: Raymond, Jessy, Logan, and Karine; his two brothers: Henri (Corinne), and Raymond (Gloria) both of Dieppe; his sister, Gloria Bastarache (Gerry) of Irishtown; his special friend, Rose Cormier of Dieppe; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Babineau; his two sons: George, and Terry; his brother, Alyre (Imelda); and his two sisters: Aline (Ronald), and Marie (Alfred).
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, NB, on Friday, May 29th, 2026, at 11 am. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Dieppe.
