1946 ~ 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Hebert, 80, on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Born in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and the late Nathalie Leger (LeBlanc).
Dot will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Roger; her siblings: Diana LeBlanc (late Clorice) of Haute-Aboujagane, Leo Leger (Aldea) of Shediac, Donald Leger (Cecile) of Haute-Aboujagane, Eva Bourque (Jean) of Grand-Barachois, Roger Leger (Jeannine) of Cap-Pelé, Paul Leger (Jacqueline) of Shediac, and Bernice Rousselle (late Aldoria) of Cap-Pelé; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Serge; her sister, Julienne; and two brothers: Louis and Emile (late Marie).
Dot had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone she could. She was known as a wonderful cook who loved making food for everyone around her. No matter what she was doing, whether it was daily chores or simply relaxing, she was often softly humming to herself. Her strong faith was an important part of her life, and she spent much of her time praying. She also enjoyed quiet hobbies like working on diamond paintings and doing crossword puzzles.
In respect to her wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will take place at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church (2648 Acadie Street, Cap-Pelé) on Thursday, May 21st, 2026, at 11:00am.
Donations in memory of Dot can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Boîte à Lunch (Cap-Pelé).
