Rae Anne Richardson

June 17, 1947  –  May 18, 2026

Rae A. Richardson, 78, a long-time resident of Riverview, passed away peacefully at The Briarlea (Ryan Rd.) on Monday, May 18, 2026. Born in Jersey, Channel Islands, UK she was the daughter of the late Nancie (Springate) Lovell.

Rae immigrated to Canada in September of 1967 to Charlottetown, PEI where she went to work as a ballet teacher/instructor at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. She moved to Riverview, NB where she lived and raised her family for over 50 years. Rae worked for many years in the Retail industry as a Customer Service Representative at Marks & Spencer & The Hudson Bay Company. Rae was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, had a passion for dancing, bird watching, gardening, puzzles, she loved watching her musicals collection, all levels of hockey, tennis, curling and F1 racing. She loved a good glass of Pinot Grigio, multiple cups of tea, full lobster dinners and some crumpets, Mars bars and a 99 Ice Cream to satisfy her sweet tooth cravings but first and foremost, Rae loved her family and was always there to support them whenever she could.

Rae will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lisa (Brent) Fraser of Riverview; sons, Martin (Yolande) Richardson of Moncton, Kevin (Jennifer) Richardson of Riverview and Colin (Becky) Richardson of Fredericton; cherished grandchildren, Cole, Rylee, Reese, Keaton, Leodis, Ellie and Bennett; sister, Lindy (Paul) Wotton of England and extended family members. In addition to her mother and stepfather Bill, Rae was predeceased by the father of her children, Keith Roy Richardson (Oct. 2014).

The family invites relatives and friends to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) for visitation on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm followed by a Service to Celebrate Rae’s Life from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm. Reception to follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
