N.B. gas prices keep climbing

We knew the increase was coming, and it happened overnight.

Gas prices have climbed above the $2 a litre mark.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board made its price adjustments early Friday morning.

The maximum for regular self-serve is now 5.1 cents higher, and is at around $2.02.

Diesel is also up 5.1 cents a litre to around $2.31.

Furnace oil prices didn’t change. They remain at $2.24.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.

In Nova Scotia, the maximum regular self-serve prices currently range from $1.96 to $2.00 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $2.16 and $2.20 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the maximum prices are currently $2.04 a litre for regular self-serve, more than $2.29 per litre for diesel and nearly $1.71 per litre for home heating oil.
