It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christina “Chrissy” Coates of Grande-Digue, NB,

who passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre

in Moncton on May 9, 2026, at the age of 65, following a brief illness.

Born on February 22, 1961, Chrissy was the daughter of the late Ken Coates and the late Joanne Yee.

Chrissy will be deeply missed by her loving partner of 24 years, Daniel LeBlanc as well as her son Mitchum Peters.

She also leaves behind many cherished friends and loved ones, including her dear friend Stephanie Bree,

whose support and friendship meant so much to her, and her niece Vanessa, who held a very special place in her heart.

Chrissy had a love for life’s simple pleasures, especially Sunday drives and watching horror movies.

She will be remembered for her caring spirit and the special connection she shared with those closest to her.

Besides her parents, Ken Coates and Joanne Yee, she was predeceased by them both.

In keeping with Chrissy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Daniel would like to express his heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton,

as well as the Extramural Program in Shediac, for the compassionate care provided to Chrissy.

In memory of Chrissy, donations to the Moncton SPCA would be greatly appreciated by the family.
