Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Steeves passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital,

surrounded by the love of her family, on April 27, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born on December 29, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Walter Tibbo and Ella Tibbo. Betty was a devoted wife to her late husband, Hedley Donald Steeves Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years.

She will be deeply missed by her loving children: Ann, Robert (Kelly), and Tanya; her dear daughter-in-law, Karen Steeves (Julien); and her beloved siblings: Bonnie, Bob (Trish), and Brad (Jayne).

Betty was a proud and caring grandmother to Ryan (Katie), Tanisha (C.J.), Brianna (Nathan), and Tarah (Charles), and a treasured great-grandmother to her four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Betty will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kindness, and the love she shared so freely with her family and all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Hedley, resting peacefully.

As per Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

A celebration of life will be held on May 10, 2026, at 821 Indian Mountain Road, Indian Mountain, New Brunswick.
