It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mélanie Helena LeBlanc, 42, on Thursday, April 30th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.
Mélanie will be greatly missed by her mother, Gisèle LeBlanc; her aunts: Angèla Cormier (Francis), Florence Cormier (Marcel) and Jacinthe Leger (Daniel) all three of Dieppe; her cat, Kai; as well as several cousins.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Joseph and Héléna LeBlanc.
Mélanie loved filling her days with the things that brought her joy, from listening to music and getting lost in a good book to playing video games and carefully working on her paint-by-number projects. She also enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows. Her love for animals showed in the way she cared for them, and nothing meant more to her than spending time at family gatherings, where she felt happiest surrounded by the people she loved.
The family would like to thank the staff of the trauma unit and palliative care unit at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre as well as the Extra Mural staff for the great care they provided.
In respect to the family’s wishes, there will be no visitations. A funeral service will take place at Passage ~ Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe) on Friday, May 8th, 2026, at 10:00am.
Donations in memory of Mélanie can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Moncton SPCA (PAW).
