Joan Margaret Frontain

1934 – 2026

Joan Margaret Frontain, of Riverview passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Boyd Langille.

Joan dedicated much of her life to her career as an accountant. She began her professional journey with Dunn and Bradstreet and later worked in the 1960s with United Maritime Fishermen (UMF), where she remained until its closure in the 1980s. Following this, her husband Jesse established Trico Marketing, a seafood brokerage firm, where Joan continued her accounting work until her retirement in 1997.

Joan had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She and Jesse cherished many summers at their cottage in Tatamagouche, NS, and enjoyed spending winters at their home in Bay Aristocrat Village in Clearwater, Florida. She also loved to travel and took great joy in cruising abroad. In her younger years, Joan was active in square dancing, bowling, and golf. Above all, she was devoted to her family, holding a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, of whom she was immensely proud.

Joan is survived by her son, Brian (Karen); and her cherished grandchildren: Erin Leger (late Peter), Erika (Kevin Linegar), Emily (Warren Emmet), and Adam (Britney Sears).

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jesse, in 2023. They shared 69 wonderful years of marriage.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 6:00pm 8:00pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
