Michael Angus Dunlop

1956 – 2026

The family of Michael Angus Dunlop shares with heavy hearts his passing on April 27, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital.  Born in Fredericton, NB, Michael was the son of the late Haldean and Noreen (Marr) Dunlop.

Michael was an EME Weapons Tech for the Canadian Armed Forces as a Reservist. He was a musician for many years, a drummer and vocalist.

Michael was often busy working with his hands, building with wood or metal, and loved nature, taking photos, fishing, feeding the birds and his crossword puzzles.

‘Grumpy Grampy’ had a dry humour that was so appreciated by all that were close to him and did not have time for nonsense but had the biggest heart in the same breath. His love for his furry pals was great, and he often had a zoo as a result.

He loved and was so very proud of his children and will be greatly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, daughters; Jessica Dunlop, Melissa Skinner (Scott), son; Michael, sisters; Valerie Delong (Larry) and Wendy Marr (Derrick) ; his grandchildren; Courtney, Samantha, Dominic, Matthew, Isaac, Bella, Mya and Leo.

In keeping with his wishes, Michael’s arrangements are entrusted with Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (506 869 2007).

Donations may be made to Oromocto and Area SPCA, and The Canadian Cancer Society.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
