A French-language version of a leadership coaching program will be offered in New Brunswick for the first time this spring.
Saint John-based Vision Coaching says its Using the Coach Approach™ program will be delivered in French beginning May 21, led by executive coach Jules Michaud.
The program, which focuses on building coaching skills for leaders, has previously been offered in English. The new cohort is aimed at expanding access for francophone and bilingual leaders in the province.
Michaud, a native of northern New Brunswick, said demand for French-language coaching remains limited in the region.
“French and bilingual coaches are pretty rare in New Brunswick,” he said. “I always saw that as an opportunity to make a tangible contribution to my community.”
Interest in the French offering has been building since last fall, when Michaud delivered an introductory session to the Northwest branch of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick.
He said the response to that session highlighted the potential for broader delivery.
“We had a live coaching session right at the table,” he said. “People were leaning in, fully engaged.”
The full program has since been translated, with additional French-language offerings expected in the future.
For Michaud, the move is both professional and personal.
“It’s pulling me out of my comfort zone,” he said. “That’s where the growth is.”
The inaugural cohort begins May 21, with registration now open.
