It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gérald “July” Cormier, 49, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones, on Tuesday, April 21^st, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Leonard Légère and the late Gloria Cormier.

Gérald leaves behind his sister, Carol Cormier (André Doiron) of Saint-Philippe; as well as his family at the T.J. Maillet Residence in Cocagne.

A special thank you to his family at the T.J. Maillet Residence for the exceptional care and kindness they provided over the years.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.
