Moncton, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Léo-Paul Gaudet, 70, of Villa du Repos and formerly of Scoudouc, on Monday, April 13th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Scoudouc, NB, he was the son of the late Léo and the late Fénéla (Fougère) Gaudet.
He had worked for Springwall Mattresses for over 40 years in Scoudouc.
He is survived by his wife, Claudette (Richard) Gaudet; by his sons: Gilles (Joanne) of Dieppe and Jacques (Marie-Claire) of Moncton; by his grandchildren: Erika, Felix and Sofia; by his sisters: Jeanne Cormier (Léo-Paul) of St-Antoine, Alice Brun (Clarence) of Shediac and Rose-Marie Gallant (Paul) of Scoudouc; by his brothers: Edouard of Moncton, Normand (Florence) of Cocagne, Léonce (Annette) and Emile (Carmella), both of Scoudouc, Arthur (Doris) of Haute-Aboujagane, Bernard (Bernice) of Scoudouc and Eugène (Gail) of Shediac, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Bernice in 2024.
Visitation will be held from Passage, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (506) 857-1901, on Monday, April 20th, 2026, from 1 pm to 3:45 pm, followed by the service in the chapel at 4 pm.
Burial will take place in Passage Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.
