July 17, 1953  –  April 12, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen Robinson announces his passing on Sunday April 12, 2026 at The Moncton Hospital.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of Audrey (Garland) Robinson and the late Frank Robinson. Besides his mother, he will be greatly missed by his wife Anne of Moncton and his son David (Stefanie) of Ottawa, his aunt Ruby Lockhart of The Glades and many cousins.

Over the years, he worked at a number of local businesses including Lounsbury Industrial, Can Am Chrysler and Home Hardware. During that time he greatly enjoyed meeting the public, made many friendships, and will be remembered for his witty remarks.

Steve enjoyed Scouting as a youth and when David became involved, he was active in 1st St. Michael’s Scouting as a leader and Group Committee member. He and David had fond memories of their trips to the Canadian Jamborees in 1997 and 2001. Steve loved to reminisce about camping trips. He thoroughly enjoyed canoeing trips to the Bonaventure and the St. Croix rivers with his friends. After retirement, he enjoyed hunting for treasures at the ReStore, Value Village and the other thrift stores around town. He loved to bring home a bargain and often shared his finds with his friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton NB (506-858-1995). Funeral Service will be celebrated from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Carolyn Steeves officiating. Reception to follow the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
