Roger Melanson

1954 – 2026

St-Damien-de-Kent, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Melanson, 71, on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026.

Born in Notre-Dame, NB, he was the son of the late Fidèle and the late Imelda (Belliveau) Melanson.

He worked for NB Liquor for 25 years and in the final few years, he was a jack-of-all-trades, always ready to assist anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his brother, Vincent Melanson of St-Damien; by his half-sister, Claudette LeBlanc (Donald) of St-Antoine; by his sister-in-law, Bernice Melanson of St-Damien; by his niece, Lynne Cormier (Ghislain); by his nephew, Charles Melanson (Jolaine); by his great nieces: Amélie, Alexanne and Janelle and by his great nephew, Miguel.

He was predeceased by his brother, Paul; by his half sisters: Jeannine, Viola and Berthe and by his half brothers: Raoul, Alcide and Zéphir.

Visitation will be held from Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, NB, (506) 532-1050, on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, from 4 pm to 6:45 pm, followed by the service at 7 pm.

Burial will take place in St-Antoine Parish Cemetery.

In Roger’s memory, a donation can be made to the ALS Society or to the St-Antoine Parish.
