Eric Léger

1950 ~ 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eric Léger, 75, on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste in Bouctouche.

Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Ulysse and the late Azélia Léger (LeBlanc).

Eric will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Nicole; his two sons: Christien and Daniel, both of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent; his three grandchildren: Kaylee, Alex, and Amélie; his brothers: Donat (Monique), Telex (Anne-Marie) both of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent, and Yvon (Nicole) of Menneval; his sisters: Lucie (Bob) of Irishtown and Alice (Désiré) of Saint-Joseph-de-Kent; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Eric had a long and varied career, spending over 30 years working for CN before moving on to Hospital Stella-Maris-de-Kent and later serving as a school bus driver. Throughout his life, he was a simple man, loved by many and well known for his sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a playful comment, earning him a reputation as a true jokester among friends and colleagues alike.

Visitations will be held at Passage ~ Maillet (29 de l’Église Street, Bouctouche) on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. A funeral service will take place at Saint-Jean Baptiste RC Church at 7:00pm.

Donations in memory of Eric can be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste.
