Jeannine Maillet

1951 – 2026

Shediac River, NB – Surrounded by the love of her family and friends, we announce our profound and deep sadness, the passing of Jeannine Maillet, on Saturday, February 14th, 2026, at age 74, at Maison Albert Hospice, Moncton, NB.

Born in Shediac Bridge, NB, on July 26th, 1951, she lived on Shediac River Rd. She was the daughter of the late Livail and Jeanne Babineau.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Donny Maillet; her two sons: Jason (Emilie) of Gatineau and Chris (Elise) of Shediac; her grandchildren: Caleb, Félicie, Zoé, Alexie and her sisters: Lorette Ellis (Eric) and Rolande Savoie (Egbert).

Jeannine’s short battle with cancer was fought with the utmost dignity, positive attitude, and deep faith. During her illness, her family and friend’s visits were the highlight of many days. She continued laughing, reminiscing about old times and always stayed positive.

The family is grateful for the ongoing support from family, friends and cousins during her three months of illness. As well, special thank you to Dr. Gabriel Arsenault, Extra-mural in Shediac and Maison Albert. You all provided Jeannine, the compassion, care, professionalism, calmness and comfort, she so appreciated.

Visitation will be held at Passage, 3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge, (506) 532-1050, on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:50 am, followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 11 am. A reception will follow the service at Notre Centre in Grande-Digue.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeannine may be made to Maison Albert Hospice.
