Richibouctou-Village, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henri Léger, aged 94, who passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

He was the beloved husband of Dorice Léger (née Maillet) and the son of the late Clorice Léger and the late Rose Léger (née Boucher).

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorice Léger (née Maillet); his children: Huguette Hébert (Adolphe) of Richibouctou-Village, Lyne Léger-Allain (Ricky) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, and Jean-Guy Léger (Diane) of Dieppe; his grandchildren: Yves (Roxane), Marc-André (Amély), Michel (Louisa), Katia (Mathieu), and Lucas; and his great-grandchildren: Renée, Audrée, and Elliot. He also leaves to mourn one brother, Gérald Léger (Rita) of Richibucto, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Henri was a fisherman by trade. He will be remembered as a quiet and humble man of great generosity, deeply connected to the sea he loved so dearly.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by ten siblings: Aline, Geneva, Josephat, Léon, Léo-Paul, Aurel, Ola, Armand, Éléonore, and Exibé.

In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral service will be held at a later date.
