Florence Isabel Knowles

September 22, 1932  –  February 2, 2026

Florence “Flo” I. Knowles, 93, of Havenwood Residence, passed away peacefully within the comforts of her home on Monday, February 2, 2026. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Beattie) MacNair.

Flo was a school teacher for 20 years, and then she and her husband built a successful business, Knowles Brothers Ltd. In 1994 she was awarded the New Brunswick Women’s Entrepreneurial Award. She enjoyed nature, going for walks, fishing, bird watching, long drives in the country, reading, solving puzzles, watching TV especially the

Toronto Maple Leafs and let’s not forget her love for Orange Pineapple Ice Cream.

Flo will be missed by devoted niece, Debbie MacNair; special sisters in law, Evelyn MacNair and Edith Young; brother-in-law, Angus as well as many other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harper Knowles; and brothers, Douglas, Malcolm (Jean) and Donald.

The family would like to thank the Staff and Residents of Havenwood for their loving care and friendship shown to Flo during her time there. In keeping with Flo’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will be held at a later date.
