Moncton, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen Shea, aged 73, of Moncton, NB, on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, NB.
Born in Roberval, QC, on December 18, 1952, Maureen was the daughter of the late Leo Graham (Lee) Shea and the late Mary Alyce Shea (née Richard).
She is survived by her sister, Suzanne LeBlanc of Halifax, NS, and her brother, Pat (Patrick) Shea (Maureen Barbeau) of Winnipeg, MB.
Maureen was one of the first computer programmers with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and later retired as a technical writer. She loved to travel and explored many parts of the world, particularly Latin America and Spain.
She shared a close bond with her extended family and cherished spending time with her cousins.
Maureen had a lifelong love of knitting and, in her later years, discovered a true passion for painting and drawing.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.
In Maureen’s memory, donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
