New date set to welcome Santa Claus to Greater Moncton

There’s good news for those disappointed by the cancellation of this year’s Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus parade.

The organizing committee called an emergency meeting on Tuesday night last night to devise another plan.

Lots of hard work goes into the floats each year, and they wanted to ensure the public had a chance to see them.

From 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with a few of this year’s floats, will be in the parking lot of the Moncton Coliseum.

The public is invited to walk through the parade zone.

There will be live music, dancing mascots and beautiful floats.

Children can bring their letters for Santa and bring non-perishable food items for the annual food drive.

The annual parade, which was supposed to be held on Saturday night, was cancelled due to high winds and heavy rain.
