Concerns Over Used Needles Found On School Grounds

Bessborough School officials are taking a proactive approach to keep families safe.

This comes after used needles were found on school property.

A message went out to families this week.

Teachers and administration have been checking the school grounds on a regular basis.

The letter was a proactive measure because many families use the playground in the evenings and on weekends, especially now that the weather is warmer.

It also advises families that if they see evidence of illegal drug use to contact RCMP.

Additional surveillance and monitoring will also be done to prevent individuals from taking part in these types of activities on school grounds.
