Lightning Show Over Greater Moncton Entertains For Hours

Residents in Greater Moncton were treated to a light show last night that last around two hours.

Lightning flashed over the region, prior to thunderstorms that brought almost 14 millimetres of rain in a short period of time.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms pounded areas in the Campbellton and Restigouche regions where severe thunderstorm warnings were issued.

Humidity levels climbed into the mid to high 30’s yesterday under a heat warning.

The heat warning has now ended and temperatures are expected to drop to more normal levels by this evening.
